The Undugu Mentorship Initiative on Saturday the 1st February 2014 visited Kenyatta High School, Mwatate- Taita. The theme for the visit was"Living your Dream", aimed at assuring the younger members of our society that indeed it is possible to actualize our dreams. The team of mentors met for a briefing at 6.00am at Makupa Service Station, Mombasa and headed to Mwatate, a 3 hours drive.

The team arrived at Kenyatta High School at 10am. The school has over 700 students, full boarding all boys. The school is among the few recently upgraded to National School status. There were formal presentations followed by group and focus discussions. Mentors identified a manageable number of students that they would monitor and follow up after the visit.

Quick Facts:

- The major reasons for poor school performance at the Coast region are Attitude-related

- On this day alone, we have an opportunity to interact with more than 1,000 students.

- The effect of this interaction can transcend schooling period, sometimes creating completely new life and career opportunities for the mentee; with its positive results immeasurable.

- To successfully achieve this objective, we need to maximize the number of mentors.
